This Privacy Policy describes the privacy practices of Family CareSpace in connection with the Family Home Portal mobile application (the “App”) and https://familycarespacestore.com website (the “Site”).

Information we collect

When you use the App, we may collect information about you, including:

We collect personal information you knowingly provide to us. For instance, when you register for an account on the App or shop on the Site or respond to a survey, you may provide to us your name, address, phone number, email address, and credit card or other payment information. When you shop on the site we collect the information about the products you purchase from us.  When you interact with our customer service or technical support teams, you may also provide additional information about the way you are using specific products or the way your network is configured.

Photographs you provide when you use the App, via your camera or camera roll (if you have granted us permission to access your camera or camera roll). We obtain only the specific images you chose to upload using the App; we do not collect your photo albums even if you grant us your access to them. We encrypt each photograph that you upload using the App. Please note that while we do not require or request any metadata attached to the photographs you upload, metadata (including, for example, geotags) may be associated with your photographs by default.

App usage information, such as information about how you use the App and interact with us, including your timezone, the date and time when you first installed the App and the date and time you last used the App.

Subscription history, if you choose to purchase the App subscription, such as confirmation that you are a paid subscriber to the App.

Device data, such as your computer and mobile device operating system type and version number, manufacturer and model, device ID, push tokens, browser type, screen resolution, IP address (and the associated country in which you are located); and other information about the device you are using to visit the App.

Online activity data, such as information about your use of and actions on the App and the Sites, including pages or screens you viewed, how long you spent on a page or screen, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times, and length of access. Our service providers and certain third parties also may collect this type of information over time and across third-party websites and mobile applications. This information may be collected on our Site using cookies, browser web storage (also known as locally stored objects, or “LSOs”), web beacons, and similar technologies. We may collect this information directly or through our use of third-party software development kits (“SDKs”). SDKs may enable third parties to collect information directly from our App.

Comments– When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

How we use personal information

We do not use the photographs or telemetry data you provide when you use the App for any reason other than to provide you the functionality of the App.

The Site uses your personal information to complete your purchase transactions and deliver products to you.

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

The App uses your registered email id and phone to send alert notifications you configure.

How we share personal information

We do not sell, license, or otherwise disclose any of your personally identifiable information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

We do not disclose user photographs, videos, or telemetry data to third parties (with the exception of uploading an encrypted image to our cloud provider Microsoft Azure). We may share your non-photograph and non-video information in the following circumstances:

  • Affiliates. We may share App usage information with our subsidiaries and affiliates, for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
  • For compliance, fraud prevention and safety. We may share your personal information for the compliance, fraud prevention and safety purposes

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

The Site uses third-party service providers, such as payment gateway and website analytics. Some of these service providers may collect information about your visits to the Site, and your interaction with our products and services. In these cases, Family CareSpace acts as the data controller and the third-party vendors act as data processors. As our agents, these third-party vendors receive from us only the specific information required for them to perform specific services on our behalf, and they are not authorized to use or disclose your information except as necessary and agreed to perform those specific services for us or to comply with applicable legal obligations.

If you have not opted-in to receive electronic newsletters, you will not receive these electronic communications. Visitors who register or participate in other Website features such as marketing programs and “members-only” content will be given a choice whether they would like to be on our electronic communications list and receive electronic communications from us.

If you have subscribed to any forums and/or topics, you will receive emails from us when someone posts in the sections you’ve subscribed to. You may unsubscribe by clicking the Unsubscribe link on the associated topic.

We use both personal data as well as anonymized data to monitor the performance of our servers and services, allowing us to proactively and reactively update our services to deliver a consistently high quality of service. For instance, we may use a combination of general traffic monitoring as well as IP addresses to determine if certain internet service providers or geographic regions have poorer performance and require specific performance enhancements.

How long we retain your data

For users that register on the Site and the App, we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Tech administrators can also see and edit that information. We will retain such information in a personally identifiable format only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes we have set out in this privacy policy.

Your rights and choices
